Alejandra joined IYF in 2017 as the Partnership Development Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean with over five years of experience developing and managing international education, youth development, and governance projects. Most recently, Alejandra worked as a project management and new business associate for Latin American and the Caribbean at Chemonics International. There she contributed to the partnership strategy and technical approach of multiple proposals for USAID focusing on improving skills and learning outcomes in public schools and working with at-risk-youth in Central America. Prior to joining Chemonics, Alejandra worked as a project officer for the Organization of American States providing technical support to teacher training, STEM education, and capacity building projects. She received her master's degree in International Development Practice from the University of Minnesota, where she supported an evaluation for Mastercard Foundation on life, labor, and entrepreneurship skills development for youth in Eastern Africa.
