Bassem Nasir

Bassem is a Program Director, overseeing the development and management of several youth employment, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement initiatives in the Middle East and Africa. He joined IYF in 2012 and has more than 17 years of experience in education, sustainability, and development. Bassem has worked with a broad range of corporations, NGOs, governments, and academic institutions throughout the developing world. His background includes being Regional Head, Middle East, for AccountAbility, a global leader in CSR consulting and research; several years at Intel in the Mid-East in various CSR roles; as well as a stint launching the Palestinian Development Gateway, a development-focused web portal of the World Bank. Bassem holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. He is fluent in English and Arabic and conversational in French.
