Skills for the Automotive Industry works to transfer in-demand competencies to graduates from schools in the TVET system in the Coahuila and Estado de Mexico regions. These geographic areas are home to some of the most sophisticated processes in Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' Mexico operations, specifically as they relate to tool making and automation electrics. The initiative is working to close the regional skills gap and create compelling incentives for technical skills training in the area.

Skills for the Automotive Industry will reach 900 youth in both Coahuila and Estado de Mexico through specialized curricula, technical training for teachers and students, training in supply chain processes, tool design and construction, as well as job search training.
