Learning Series #8: Equipping Youth Who Are Harder to Hire for the Labor Market

This study is the eighth edition in the entra21 Learning Series, which presents findings from that program. The study describes how successful five projects were in recruiting more vulnerable youth, whether they became more employable, and which practices seem to have contributed to these youths’ ability to acquire new skills and secure employment or create their own micro-businesses. The study focuses on projects in Ecuador, Nicaragua, and Peru where the targeted youth have less education, live in rural areas, or have other personal or social characteristics that make it harder to find decent work.
